movie #2.

Today is such a sad day. My body hurts and I have a huge blister in my mouth. School was shit. Like a crappy background noise that grew too loud at times.
I came home with a fever and watched Heathers to pass time.
It was fascinating, as usual. All the intense scenes have that creepy music that wasn't meant to be funny, but still is. I love the usual ignorant parents of the suburbs that can't think of anything other than sophistication and food. The best part, however, are the clothes. Colorful blazers, pleated skirts and checks!

Its almost comical how ignorant everybody is. But then its high school. No surprises here.
Teen angst, jealous friends, suicide, murder, guns, a deranged psychotic boyfriend, neurotic teachers and confusion.

 I have missed Looklet dearly.

is this real life or is this just fantasy?

Kanye West has always been my guilty pleasure. I tried to hate him after the whole Taylor Swift debacle but he just continues to be his mean and awesome self. This song has me hooked in.

My parents were called in to school on Friday because a teacher in particular thinks I need to 'mend my ways and study atleast 6 hours a day after school'. Weirdly enough, as he lectured us endlessly, I wondered if Oswald (see : huge octopus, super organised and deep voice) ever gets married or faces bigger problems than saving his tomato plants.

Among other things, I really want to watch this movie.
My Week With Marilyn Movie Poster

This movie is the combination of 2 books by Colin Clark and is set in 1957 during the making of The Prince and The Showgirl. The plot takes place around the time when Clark (played by Eddie Redmayne) escorted Marilyn around the UK after her husband, Arthur Miller (Dougray Scott) leaves the country.

The costumes are wonderful. I love the picturisation.
Also not to mention, the awkward moment when Michelle Williams is chosen over Scarlett Johansson to play Marilyn Monroe.

The October 2011 issue of Vogue US is inspired by the same.

Versace for H&M.

So on the Versace for H&M update, It was launched this morning across Europe and China. 24 hour queues, crazy fans, overload of traffic and crashing of the website weren't much of a surprise.

According to reports, fights broke outside the H&M store in Shanghai.

The scenario was pretty much the same in London's Regent Street, where the dedicated fans were greeted by Dontella Versace herself, looking all bright and cheery in a £199 pink leather studded dress and a leather jacket, both from the collection.

Within moments, the store was empty as happy shoppers marched away with their wins.
...where moments after the doors had opened, the shelves were bare

Shopped out: An entire new Versace wardrobe for this shopper

Most items are already available on Ebay and other auctioning sites which probably explains the overbearing crowd.

Personally, I am not a huge fan of the collection. As much as I like the theme, it is too bold and blingy for my taste. However, there are a few pieces that caught my eye.

Among other things, it was rather disappointing when Versace said no to the real sized models and chose the regular one's instead. I, somehow, expected her to promote the average sized woman through her collection.

trumphets and drum rolls.

Yes, I admit it. I have a thing for Peter Jensen.

Apart from dressing up like an adorable dork, he can create magic with his designs. The best part is they are unconventional, yet wearable. Each of his collection is inspired by an equally weird muse. Its the way he works with colors and textures that brings life to an essemble.

Some of my favorite collections by him are -
Autumn/Winter 2001
Mary Miles Minter

Spring/Summer 2006
Sissy

Spring/Summer 2010
Laurie

Spring/Summer 2012
Nina

I can't wait for his Fashion and Motion presentation at the V&A museum as listed here.
I shall go back to stalking people on twitter now.
Later.

thats the way we roll.

I went on a little shopping spree last week ^_^

( Yeah, I wear flip flops in winters so sue me!)

 Boots = Carlton London :)
