Grunge : yes or no?

So I just randomly opened fashion.net today and a picture of Marc Jacob popped up. For no apparent reason, I decided to run his name in the search box. Going through his personal life and achievements, I came across his famous throw out from Perry Ellis thanks to his all-too-famous Grunge collection.

Nevertheless, he reintroduced it in his 2006 Fall Collection.

I don’t understand why most people refer to Grunge as ‘sloppy’ and ‘untidy’. I mean yes, it has its fair share of disasters, something I’d call extreme grunge.

However, there’s a brighter side to the look.

Its just a matter of getting it right.
