and I keep trying anyway.

Why is that we still hate some days even though they aren't so bad? Maybe, the fact that the day was pretty good is just inside our head. In reality, it probably sucked but somehow we try to avoid unwanted emotions by dismissing it. I hope that made sense.

Lately, I have been keeping a close tab on designs by Junaya Watanabe. Her style is edgy, unusual and oh-so-chic. There is a sense of empowerment in her creations. She also experiments a lot.
I love the 2011 Fall Ready to Wear Collection.

These are some other outfits by her.

Now, I will go back to watching Daria and eating hazlenut chocolate that goes straight to the thighs.
oh yeah.

yellow balloons & cranky birds.

I hate my self for being a lazy ass idiot who feeds on junk all day whilst reading cute romance novels instead of studying for semesters. But then I make up for it by promising (no one in particular) to study twice as hard the next day and the cycle continues.

Lately, I have been listening to Nirvana a lot. It brings back so many memories. I wonder what Kurt Cobain would have been like, were he alive today. I like to imagine him happy and content with his family, just like Slash (yes, I do stalk him on twitter, facebook you name it). I ALWAYS think, he should have just hanged in there. But of course, I don't know what he was going through. Pressure from the media, drug addiction, responsibilty for his family and what not. It doesn't make sense. I saved a copy of his suicide note to my desktop which was addressed to his imaginary friend.

You can read what it says
here.

cutest picture on the cover of Sassy.
Hats off to him for being the definition of 'unconventional', yet turning out to be an extraordinary musician. A vocal opponent of sexism, racism and homophobia, he was publicly proud that Nirvana had played at a gay rights
benefit supporting No-on-Nine in Oregon in 1992, in opposition to Ballot Measure Nine, a ballot measure, that if passed, would have prohibited schools in the state from acknowledging or positively accepting LGBT rights and welfare.

This is, undoubtedly, their best song.

I have a similar Nirvana shirt that I love to bits.

Apart from changing the music scene of the 90's, Nirvana had a considerable impact on the fashion front as well. The Grunge look was introduced. It gave birth to many different looks be it the edgy rocker chick or the laidback slacker.

The 90's was certainly a revolutionary phase, with baffling changes that caused people to sit up and notice. Nirvana just added a handful of spice (or rather glitter) to it.
Off to sleep now.

Lady Gaga workshop.

I am pretty sure I live under a rock these days. Lady Gaga's workshop was launched FIVE days ago at Barney's New York and beats Santa Claus anyday.

Studded Gloves.

Delecious fake nails.

For unfortunate people like me who cannot fly to New York,
here's the shop.

lets not make sense.

I missed school today because my left eye looks like a red rainbow and I need to study for a test next week NOT for reblogging things on tumblr frantically or visiting some awesome blogs which is exactly what I am doing since morning.
Winters always make me nostalgic probably because, every year, these are the most memorable times.
For instance, when I was in 8th grade, the winter break meant Lizzie Mcguire marathons and hot chocolate. She pretty much helped me get through middle school.

Mom got me that exact unicorn sweater. I love it even though its too cute.
Daria was another favorite.

I always wanted to be a tough and kick ass girl like her, who takes no shit and stands up for herself.

Proud Family because I loved their deep voices and sassiness.

Sweet Valley High. I remember long evening walks with my friend, who was obsessed with this show. Once, we dressed up like the twins and clicked pictures.

S Club 7. I was in love with their songs. I could always relate to Hannah. She was my idol.

I think I will take take a shower before I hit the books again.
This song is heaven.

And things don't turn out the way they should.

Today, after an enternity (and I am not exaggerating) my parents decided to take us out for a FAMILY outing. I have to say I am NOT fond of them. Being with my parents AND brothers in the same car for an hour is more than I can take. However, I decided to make an exception today since we were going to the International Trade Fair where I could shop endlessly for a change thanks to the constant money supply (see : dad). But things took an ugly turn when we reached late only to find a HUGE crowd. It was SO overcrowded. On top of everything, the tickets were sold out already.
So of all places on the planet, my parents took us to the zoo. I know.
Turns out, it wasn't as bad as I imagined. It was pretty nostalgic. I stuffed myself with two ice cream cones and a candy bar just like the old times.

I still can't click pictures properly. I chopped off my sister's head. I don't know why she loves that weird scarf. Memories I suppose.

I look a tad too happy in these pictures. But then, for once, I really was. It didn't matter that I had a shitload of homework and an F in math. Just the clear blue sky and all those innocent animals.
*sigh*

brooch it.

This post has been in the drafts for a month now. My internet connection is so weird.
I have developed a newfound love for brooches. These tiny miracles can transform an outfit altogether. I recently got a cute
polka dot flower brooch in addition to an antique bronze piece I already have.
I REALLY want to own these though -

You can pin it up on a shirt or dress, on your shoes, make a headband or bracelet out of it or put it up on your bag.
Someday, I want to own a wall full of brooches. I will lock myself and never come out.
